cool bean trades

About

Hello! You have found my trade site! Where I list off the various items I have for trade. This is a unique collection of recordings ranging from classic and contemporary TV specials and episodes to movies recorded from TV, unaired and unsold pilots, network blocks, and recordings of concerts and musical plays, with a date range from the '50s to the present day. Have a look, and if you have any recordings that I might be interested in, let me know and we can arrange a trade :)
These days I usually trade digitally (via .mp4 or .iso files), but if you would rather do a "traditional" trade via mailed discs, I can do that as well!
I don't trade for money. Never have, never will. If you have nothing to trade but want something from me, we can arrange for you to send me something else (such as a book, movie, or album) in exchange for the thing that you want.
If we've never traded before, I highly recommend you send your side to me first just to make sure you're not sus ඞ
Any new items I add to the collection will be underlined so keep checking back to see what cool new items you can find here.
That's basically it for now. Thank you and happy trading! :)
Listings are up to date as of 8/17/24

Reilly, Reiner, Martin Sheen, Yeardley Smith, George Takei. Directed by Rob Reiner. This one-night-only reading was broadcast live on the internet from the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles. A
-Aladdin and His Winter Wish - 12/27/13, Pasadena, CA. Cast: Jordan Fisher, Ashley Argota, Ben Vereen, Bruce Vilanch, Richard Karn, Josh Adamson, Ben Giroux, Vanessa Nichole, Lauren Decierdo, Morgan Larson, Jesus Solorio, Marc Spaulding, Louis A Williams Jr. Two or three quick dropouts in each act, but nothing major; no obstruction while the actors are onstage; it gets a little obstructed when they come down into the audience, but even then the action is captured very well; no washout, filmed in 16:9 with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups; excellent sound, includes curtain call. 2 DVDs A
-Beardo - 2011, Berkeley, CA. Cast: Kevin Clarke, Ashkon Davaran, Dave Garrett, JP Gonzalez, Juliet Heller, Anna Ishida, Sarah Mitchell, Josh Pollock, Eleanor Mason Reinholdt, Felix Scharr. An early musical by Dave Malloy, best known for his Broadway musical Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, the musical features original music by Malloy and book and lyrics by Jason Craig, and was performed by the Berkeley-based Shotgun Players. What is being offered here is an official semi-proshot filmed with one camera and uploaded free of charge to Shotgun Players’ Vimeo channel for a limited time during the spring of 2020. Great picture and video A

-Little Shop of Horrors - 10/14/2019, Pasadena, CA. Cast: George Salazar, MJ Rodriguez, Amber Riley, Kevin Chamberlin, Matthew Wilkas, Brittany Campbell, Tickwanya Jones, Cheyenne Isabel Walls. B
-Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 - 10/29/2016, Broadway. Cast: Josh Groban, Denee Benton, Brittain Ashford, Nicholas Belton, Lucas Steele, Gelsey Bell, Nick Choksi, Amber Gray. Nice capture of this immersive production that takes place all over the theater. Great clear sound and the taper does the best possible work in this unusual setting where the actors are everywhere so there are moments when heads are in the way, spotlight washout or the picture drops off; good video under the circumstances. 2 DVDs A-
-Revue ‘89: Highlights from the Stage Play - January 1990, St. John’s, NL, Canada. Cast: Frank Barry, Brian Downey, Glenn Downey, Sheliagh Guy, Jim Payne, Jeff Pitcher, Tom Cahill. Proshot of highlights from the 1990 edition of the annual comedy retrospective stage show by Rising Tide Theatre, aired on NTV. Color issues throughout, but audio is fine. B-

-Six the Musical - February 2020, Broadway. Cast: Adrianna Hicks, Andrea Macasaet, Abby Mueller, Brittney Mack, Samantha Pauly, Anna Uzele. Filmed from the left side of the mezzanine with close-ups and full stage shots; good clear picture and sound throughout; nice video A
-The SpongeBob Musical Live On Stage! - December 2019, Nickelodeon proshot. Cast: Ethan Slater, Gavin Lee, Danny Skinner, Christina Sajous, Wesley Taylor, Katie Lee Hill, Tom Kenny, Brian Ray Norris, Jai'Len Josey, Abby C. Smith. Filmed at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth, Devon, England, UK. In order to fit the TV length, some minor aspects of the stage show were cut: The original prologue of Patchy the Pirate crashing the show was replaced by an animated prologue of the SpongeBob characters about to watch the show using previously animated footage with some new lines dubbed in; the boulders from the volcano were initially represented by giant bouncy balls coming from Rube Goldberg devices from both sides of the stage, unfortunately, the theater could not accommodate said devices; the second reprise of "Bikini Bottom Day" at the top of act 2 was removed; due to time, the beginning of the third verse of "Best Day Ever" was cut; in the original stage show, the SpongeBob theme song happened after the curtain call, but due to time, the theme song is sung right after the "Bikini Bottom Day" finale, followed by a proper curtain call; pro-shot for television; great video A
